I know, I know. Some of you are probably rolling your eyes and could care less about the Royal Wedding, but I am a romantic at heart. Doesn’t every little girl dream of being a princess (or a rock star?) I did. Thirty years ago I remember getting up very early so not to miss a minute of Princess Di’s wedding. On Friday I will wake my little Princess Daelyn at 4 or 5 am to see Kate and William’s Wedding. I have already enjoyed explaining the British Royalty to my three children and they seem fascinated by it all. Since I enjoy a little bling in my life, I created this drink to look like Lady Di’s/Kate’s engagement ring. So while little Dae and I curl up on the couch to watch the Wedding of the Century we will sip these bubbly drinks- the grape juice version, eat some tea sandwiches, along with scones with cream and jam. And don’t forget the tea! We will be downing plenty of tea. Pinkies out. Clink.

Thanks for coming up with a special drink for kids (and adults). This is so fancy and fun.
Was that 30 years ago??? Say it isn't so!! That would make me….OLD! My family was on vacation in San Antonio and my dad woke us up to watch that wedding. I was 15 and totally intrigued. Of course I'm tuning in this week, can't wait!!! Not sure we'll have blue drinks, coffee seems to be more fitting for my girls and I but cucumber sandwiches are my favorite!
Ok Robin, your enthusiasm is infectious. I had no intention of losing any sleep on Friday, but now I'm thinking I might ask the girls if they want to get up, have some tea, and watch the wedding. I guess if we can get up in the middle of the night to see the moon turn red, we can do this.
I, too, remember watching Princess Diana's wedding all those years ago. And, I'm taking off work to watch William & Kate's! I'll be eating scones and wearing my tiara while I watch – LOL!
This is so pretty… I love the neon food coloring! I'll probably watch a little of the wedding… I'm just interested in seeing her dress 🙂
I love that you are so excited about the wedding:-) And that drink looks fabulous!!
White gloves, tiara and PJ's I'm all set for the big wedding.

Awww, I love that! Such a fun girly thing to do. I'm planning on waking at odd hours so I can see it too! I love the idea of breaking out the scones and tea. You sound like such fun!
This is so creative and oh so pretty! Great job and thanks for posting.
My daughter and I are getting up early for the big wedding, too. I vividly remember watching Charles and Di's wedding at my Grandma's house. All of these years later I still think of my Grandma when I see clips of their wedding. I will have to add this drink…my daughter will love it!!
Your drink is brilliant! What a fabulous idea and beautiful result. And OMG, can it really have been 30 years…?
My daughter would love the grape juice idea. SO pretty! We often just have their juice in fancy cups too. Just because we can 🙂
I remember the wedding because it was rebroadcast later in the day in my area and instead of watching scooby doo when I got home I saw that beautiful wedding gown and a princess with short hair. I am praying for the young couple.Kate was a very beautiful bride. Will was pretty dashing too.
That is one beautiful drink!!! Such a great idea!!
PS. I didnt see a "google followers" link to follow your page but I did add your page to my google readers and liked your facebook page 🙂
